The team at the Good Housekeeping Institute Labs chose the Golf GTI after driving it for more than 1,200 miles on test tracks and open roads. This was the choice made based on value, safety, handling, interior design comfort and onboard technology. They were extremely impressed with this car when it came to power, design, space, connectivity and the fun it offered with regards to the driving dynamics and the capability provided. This is the car that offered the best visibility for the driver, a sleek and roomy inside and the suspension that puts in in charge of the road.

When you check out the Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 210 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission in order to achieve 24 city/34 hwy and give you the ride you want. There is a six-speed dual clutch automatic than can be chosen if desired which only changes the fuel number to 32 on the highway while maintaining the city number for you. This powertrain paired with the dynamic ride allows you to enjoy the fun and excitement you want in the Golf.
