The Start of the Reaction

As the development of new technologies continues, the use of these items inside our vehicles can mean we see discounts offered for the models that we drive and enjoy on the road. These discounts can come from the insurance companies that we pay to cover our vehicle and ourselves in case of an accident. Now that we’re moving closer to having autonomous models on the road to be able to drive without a person behind the wheel at all, the interest has grown for us to make sure we use these new systems when on the road. Model 3: Better Late than Never

The Pied Piper of the automotive world has been Elon Musk. When he makes an announcement regarding a new Tesla model or the next version that we’re going to see on the market, we often get in line, nod along to what he has to say, and follow him down the path. While Musk has certainly become one of the most polarizing and intriguing personalities in the world, Tesla hasn’t ever been able to deliver on a vehicle at the stated deadline. Why we thought it would be different with the Model 3 is still a mystery, but now, we finally have the base priced Model 3. (more…)

The Tesla Model 3 Continues a Tradition of Quickness

The Tesla Model 3 was a game changer in the EV market, and it continues to impress. In the past, the only benefit you received for an EV was the saving of fuel money in favor of electric power, but these vehicles were slow, plodding, and only the most committed environmentalist would choose them for the drive. Tesla changed this with the Model S and continues to make sure we have excellent models to drive with the new Model 3. The Model S is considered to be one of the quickest cars on the road for the past few years and now that we’ve seen a video of the Model 3 running a quarter-mile in 13.3-seconds at 104 mph, we can discuss cars that are slower than the Model 3. Word from Starman

There’s no doubt that Tesla CEO, Elon Musk will work hard to capitalize on the publicity and the attention that his recent launch will gain. As part of his space program, the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Rocket launched from the Earth a couple days ago and was sent hurling toward Mars to prove that space travel to Mars and back can be done in a timely manner that would move toward the next stage of what Musk has planned for this program. This rocket took off and had a special payload on board for us to admire and be entertained. (more…)

Tesla is Continuing to Go Ludicrous

With the recent unveiling of the Model 3 and the fact that this car has already received more reservations with the simple $1,000 fee than expected there is even more good news coming out of the Tesla camp. Even though the Model 3 is supposed to be the sensible choice that comes at a price more of us can afford than any other this is a car that will not just be the mild mannered one of the group, it will in fact also have the Ludicrous Performance mode that is already part of the Model S and Model X. When You Want More

Consumers are consumed with getting the right item for the money they intend to spend. That is the nature of consumerism and most manufacturers are happy to oblige. We see new products on the market every year and we are taught starting as kids to look for the new or better item because quality counts on everything from toys to homes. One thing in between those two is the car you choose to drive and what features it may have. If you consider yourself a purveyor of quality, you should consider the Model S from Tesla, but there are some new factors you need to consider. (more…)

Another Tesla Fighter, the Porsche Mission E Concept

Tesla has revolutionized the industry of the all-electric powertrains with their models that do not have even a hint of a gasoline powered backup engine.  The statement given when asked about this alluded to the fact that Tesla is doing their thing well while others with EV offer only a small range and don’t seem to know what they are doing.  Even though that is not word for word what was said, it covers the gist of the bold arrogance that came out of Tesla motors which felt like a shot at other companies. Who Knows Fuel Cells Better?

Whenever we have new technology on the market in the automotive world we are quick to find many who try to mimic this tech and build something that is better or more advanced.  This has been the case throughout history, not only in the automotive industry, but across all industry.  Currently the Tesla models show us a version of the fuel cell that we have not come across before.  Not only did they perfect the actual fuel cell to such a point of dispelling any need for a gasoline backup (which really could be useful) but they used the fuel cell to balance out the weight of the vehicles by using the whole floorboard for the system.
