2016 BMW i3: The Sporty EV Hatchback

While many of us enjoy the drive of the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt the BMW i3 is where you want to be if you want to drive a car that offers some luxury features to the mix of EV equipment. The i3 has carbon fiber reinforcements and open space interior concept and can be had with a gasoline backup engine that helps make it a car that isn’t limited to where charging stations are placed like the Nissan Leaf. This is a great little EV hatchback that you can enjoy even while seeing the Bolt and Model 3 on the horizon from Chevrolet and Tesla. (more…)

Look At the i3 Now!!

The BMW i3 gives us something cool to think about and drive in the luxury hatchback world.  Even though this is a small hatchback that would seem to garner very little attention, the fact that it’s an electrically powered vehicle that offers good range that can be boosted with a gas powered range extender.  This little beauty offers doors that open in a unique fashion and plenty of style to make it a car we want to drive and certainly gives us even more to talk about. Who Knows Fuel Cells Better?

Whenever we have new technology on the market in the automotive world we are quick to find many who try to mimic this tech and build something that is better or more advanced.  This has been the case throughout history, not only in the automotive industry, but across all industry.  Currently the Tesla models show us a version of the fuel cell that we have not come across before.  Not only did they perfect the actual fuel cell to such a point of dispelling any need for a gasoline backup (which really could be useful) but they used the fuel cell to balance out the weight of the vehicles by using the whole floorboard for the system.
