Meet the 2025 Kia Sportage: Understanding Trim Levels and Value

The Kia Sportage is impressive at any trim level, but each of its seven trims offers something different. Discover what you need to know about the different Sportage models below.

If you’re looking for a midsize crossover SUV that offers good value for the money, the Kia Sportage is a great bet. We’ll go over each of this two-row SUV’s seven trim levels so you can make an informed decision about which of them to buy.

The Kia Sportage LX Offers an Affordable Entry Point

The Kia Sportage LX has a starting MSRP of $27,390, making it a good option for shoppers on a budget who want to get a lot of value for their money. Like all Sportage models, the LX has a 187-hp 2.5L 4-cyl engine, giving it plenty of power. AWD is also available on this model.

You’ll find an eight-inch touchscreen display with smartphone integration inside the cabin. You’ll also get many standard driver assist features, including automatic e-braking, lane keep assist, and rear parking sensors.

The Kia Sportage EX Offers Good Value for the Money

With a starting MSRP of $29,490, the Sportage EX isn’t much more expensive than the entry-level LX. It has the same engine and underpinnings, but you’ll get some nice extras when you upgrade.

Arguably, the most essential extra features are a 12.3-inch display and wireless charging, a smart key, and heated front seats. However, dual-zone automatic climate control and extra driver assist features are also nice to have. Upgrading to the LX also gets you access to the available Premium Package.

The Kia X-Line AWD Is Capable and Stylish

Starting at $32,290, the Kia X-Line AWD is a stylish SUV with trim-specific badging and body styling in gloss black. The X-Line also has high utility roof rails for added practicality and an available panoramic sunroof and smart power liftgate.

The Kia SX Adds Premium Features

The Kia SX is closer in design to the EX than the X-Line. Upgrading to this trim level gets you premium features like a driver’s seat memory system, a Harman Kardon audio system, and LED interior lighting. The panoramic sunroof and smart power liftgate available on the X-Line come standard on the SX.

In addition to these extra amenities, you’ll get more driver assist features, including highway driving assist and smart cruise control with stop-and-go technology.

The Kia Sportage SX Prestige Takes Things to the Next Level

The Kia SX Prestige adds even more premium features and comes with a starting MSRP of $32,990. In addition to all the amenities from the SX, you’ll also get blind-spot view and 360-degree surround view monitors, LED fog lights and rear combination taillights, front parking sensors, and niceties like ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Kia Sportage X-Pro Will Get You Anywhere in Style

The Sportage X-Pro is the lowest trim level to offer multi-terrain drive modes. It also adds extra features, including the panoramic sunroof and smart power liftgate. You’ll also get a heated steering wheel and windshield, plus a driver’s seat memory system.

The Sportage X-Pro Prestige Offers the Best of All Worlds

The Kia Sportage X-Pro Prestige takes the capability of the X-Pro and adds all the premium features from the SX Prestige. For $38,290, this line-topping SUV offers blind-spot and surround view monitors, front parking sensors, LED rear combination taillights, and more.
