Cars to Make us Think

10.21.16 - 2018 Honda Civic Type R - 2

Every car show has a group of cars that simply make you wonder if the brand is serious about turning the vehicle that was displayed into a production model at some point in the future. Most of the time when we look at these, we are hopeful this will happen and with the most recent Paris Motor Show behind us there are certainly a number of cars that we could love to have on the road in the near future. Here are five models that made their way across the stage in Paris to show us they should be built right away, some that already are heading to the production line and others that are simply concepts at the moment.

10.21.16 - Hyundai RN30 Concept

Hyundai RN30 Concept – This car could make huge strides for Hyundai as a car that would be able to enter the sports car would and could even be made into a great looking and performing race car in the future. The RN30 looks like it might fit in well at a NASCAR track and be the next brand to break into the sport that, until recent years, was dominated by only American brands. Even if this car never races in a series, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that brings 380 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque needs to be under the hood of a Hyundai model for us to enjoy.

10.21.16 - Lexus UX Concept

Lexus UX Concept – This SUV is more sport that utility and looking at this big machine feels like it all front end and not much for the space that is needed for us to ride along. This is a sport vehicle that can provide some utility and could be the next wave of polarizing style from Lexus, although they probably need to dial it down a little before taking this SUV to production, but the direction they’re headed seems to be the right one.

10.21.16 - 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan

Audi RS3 Sedan – There’s something wonderful about a small luxury sports sedan that makes you smile. As a car that will take on top performers from other German brands this car is one that gives you a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine to enjoy 400 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft. of torque. This little speedster is ready for production and will make sixty mph in less than 4.1 seconds while giving you a 155 mph top speed. Let me just give you my money now and you can deliver this car to me when it’s ready, this car will be amazing to drive.

10.21.16 - 2018 Honda Civic Type R

Honda Civic Type R – We’ve heard about this car, we’ve discussed this car, we’ve even dreamed about it and now it’s here. The Type R is heading to the US in hatchback form and will be one of the most popular cars for sports enthusiasts right away. Who can blame them when you can have 306 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque from the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine? This car just screams fun and will be hard to beat by other hot hatches already on the market.

10.21.16 - 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta – As a variation of the top performing LaFerrari the Aperta will push you through the seat of the car when driving with the top down. This car offers you the benefit of either a fabric or carbon fiber top that can be put down so you can enjoy 950 horsepower of air blowing through your hair as you race around the track or take this car out for a cruise just to show it off. This is one of the most attractive cars ever built and certainly shows that Ferrari is still on their game, giving us one of the most desirable cars in the world to review.
