The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder which you swear is too small, but the 268 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque will delight you. The next engine in the lineup is a 3.6-liter V6 which is good for 335 horsepower and 285 lb.-ft. of torque while the third engine is found in the V-Sport which is set up in RWD only and adds twin turbochargers to the V6 to give you 420 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque.
At the top of the lineup you find the CTS-V which makes full use of a massive 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that offers up 640 horsepower and 630 lb.-ft. of torque. All engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission and all but the V-Sport are able to drive in both RWD and AWD to give you the ride you want to enjoy.
