It’s possible you’ve never heard of Jannarelly as the company but you’ve heard of Anthony Jannarelly himself. He is the French designer who is responsible for designing one of the most expensive sports cars on the market today; the Lykan Hypersport from W Motors. This car he created was sold in its few versions that were made at $3.4 million each and made to be one of the fastest and sleekest cars on the market. Of course, with his design success over the years, the Lykan Hypersport wasn’t the only car he designed, but now he’s on to other new ventures.
In an effort to make his own new car and begin building super sports cars under his own name, Jannarelly created his own company, named after himself, and the release of the first vehicle is expected sometime soon. This new model to the market from this startup was actually expected to be released in November, but certain late design changes caused the delays and it still hasn’t come to the market just yet. That doesn’t mean we aren’t excited for this new car and what it will be, especially if it’s penned by Anthony himself.
These late changes that caused the delays included the enclosed version that caused a slowdown, an option of a glass windshield, a front suspension upgrade and a few other items. Even so, the new Design-1 Roadster has been teased with some computer generated images that have been released in order to get us excited for what this car will be. From the images that have been presented, this car will be one of the most impressive sports cars we’ll see for a long time and it uses an engine that fits right in. It may not be the fastest car on the market, but it certainly will give us a new look and feel on the road.
Jannarelly is currently a Dubai based company, but hopes to sell the new Design-1 in the US very soon. This sports car will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s sourced from Nissan. While the engine sounds kind of boring, you can certainly bet that Jannarelly has tweaked it to make it scream and squeeze every ounce of power out of this power plant. The current numbers show this car will produce as much as 300 horsepower for us to enjoy from under the hood of a lightweight car that will get up and go in a hurry.
While we still don’t have a date as to when the Jannarelly Design-1 will make it to market, you can make an order ahead of time, if this is a car that piques your interest. Considering the designer, the released photos and the interesting power, this is a car that will likely sell out fast and be one you want to enjoy driving. Once this car gets going and Jannarelly begins to be a more recognizable name in the industry, it will be interesting to see what else Anthony and his team have in store for us.
