A Convertible that Outsells the Coupe

A Convertible that Outsells the Coupe

The thought of a two-door, three if you count the hatch, SUV is one that seems a bit strange for most of us to fathom, but Land Rover has been offering us the Range Rover Evoque Coupe with this layout for a few years. This setup seems a bit different, but it was the basis of being able to offer this SUV as a convertible as well, which also seems like an odd choice when you’re looking for an SUV to drive. Typically, we like to think of an SUV as a rugged and capable model that can do much more on and off the road.
While there may be some markets that like the idea of an SUV coupe from this luxury SUV brand, the fact is the coupe model just hasn’t caught on well in the US. Because the convertible model has been able to outsell the coupe, Land Rover has decided they delete the coupe from the lineup offered in the US and continue forward with an Evoque lineup that offers a convertible for the drive, but then moves to a four-door model to be more of a typically SUV that you’ll want to have for the drive on and off the roads.

Deletions Leave Room for Additions

Even though the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque lineup will no longer have the coupe model, there are some items that are being added for the 2018 version of this impressive SUV for us to enjoy and drive. The first addition is a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can produce 237 horsepower and 251 lb.-ft. of torque or be tuned up to offer 286 ponies and 295 lb.-ft. of torque to give you the power and the efficiency you’re looking for during your daily drive.
As one of the most popular models from the Land Rover name, the Evoque is offered in several different trim levels for you to have the right version for you. This is an affordable luxury SUV that makes it easier for you to experience the drive you want on a daily basis. The base engine is offered on the base model while the 286 horsepower version starts at the HSE and is also offered in the Dynamic and Autobiography trim levels to give you more of the power you want for the drive that you’ll want to make.
Choose the right Range Rover Evoque for you, but if you’re looking for the two-door coupe model from this model lineup, it will no longer be offered. You can still enjoy the benefit of the convertible version of the Evoque when you want to have the top down on the roads and trails you travel and you’ll be able to take advantage of the new powertrains offered for you to have the ride quality you want for your drive. This impressive lineup is still able to offer you what you want when you’re ready to hit the roads and have a lot of fun wherever you want to go.
