What is this new SUV?
Under the hood of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, you’ll find a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors. This vehicle also brings us the benefit of the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system which will make it the only plug-in crossover that comes with AWD in this class. The electricity for the two motors comes from a 12-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that has been developed just for this system. This particular system is encased in a dust and waterproof case which is located below the floor to make sure it’s not taking up any of the passenger area.
