The Jeep Wagoneer name is finally back in action and is ready to give you the drive you want in a large and imposing SUV you’ll love driving.
This name was first used in 1963, but it has been gone from the game for a long time. This new model will be offered alongside a larger and more luxurious model called the Grand Wagoneer. What might come as a surprise, is the fact that you can purchase the Wagoneer for less than $60,000.
The New Wagoneer is Big
Both models that wear the Wagoneer name will ride on the same wheelbase and have the same length. These items are longer than many of the full-size SUVs offered in the market today. This means the new Jeep Wagoneer will be the longest of the Jeep SUVs and very few other models in the market will give you as much room for passengers and gear.
A New Style Trend for Jeep
Unlike many of the other Jeep SUVs, the Wagoneer is going to have specialized style elements for you to admire. This SUV will give you a simpler hood design with the name across the front. You’ll see a specialized set of LED headlights and the wheel arch extensions are contrasting instead of being colored the same as the body.
Experience Interior Qualities in the Jeep Wagoneer
Unlike the posh and super-luxurious Grand Wagoneer, the Wagoneer model has standard seating for eight people and optional second-row captain’s chairs which are standard on the more expensive model. You’ll love the look and style of the cabin when you take the Wagoneer out for a drive. You’ll be glad to have the screens offered and the connectivity of the Uconnect 5 system. Opt for the second-row entertainment system and the 10.1-inch screen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Hemi Power You’re After in this Jeep
Standard power for the Jeep Wagoneer comes from the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that offers you 392 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. You’ll also have the benefits of a 48-volt eTorque mild-hybrid system that allows you to have a power boost where you need it. This SUV is available in both 2WD and 4WD setups to give you the drive you’re after.
Three 4WD Systems for Your Wagoneer
There are three systems to give you the variety of 4WD levels that you want. The Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. You can also enjoy the benefits of the Quadra-Lift air suspension which gives you more ground clearance. Imagine driving over obstacles that are as much as 10 inches in size. This SUV can also handle up to two feet of water to take you through a river or stream.
Later this year, we’ll see both the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer offered that will give us the drive we’ve been looking for. If you’ve been searching for a Jeep that’s larger than the Grand Cherokee, they are finally going to be here in the second half of the year.
