Let’s Admire the Facelift of the New Genesis G70

Let’s Admire the Facelift of the New Genesis G70

When the Genesis G70 first arrived, this car was the one that earned Car of the Year from several publications.

Today, this car is receiving a bit of an upgrade as its partner, the GV70 prepares to make its debut in the market. With that in mind, we’re ready to take a look at what the newest version of the G70 brings to the market for our admiration.

A New Face Appears on the G70

The front of the new Genesis G70 shows up with a fresh face that includes the new quad-light front that is much different from what we saw in the past. This car receives a curved front that looks different and brings you the same level of aggression as the previous model, but in a different way. Your angle of view will be the deciding factor in how aggressive this front end appears.

Other Upgraded Design Elements

As we move across the sides of the G70 we notice a smaller vent behind the front wheels, which is the only major change to the sides of this car. The rear of this car has the same set of taillights that have been bisected to give you a look that’s in line with the rest of the Genesis brand. The connection between this new model and the old version is pretty easy to see.

Look Inside and Be Amazed at the Genesis G70

When you see the view inside this amazing car, you’ll notice the look is similar to previous versions. The seats are elegant and comfortable, the traditional shifter is still in place, and a larger screen has been added to the center of the dashboard. This means you have the same feeling you love with only minor upgrades, giving you something you’re sure to love on the road.

Engines Remain the Same for this Genesis

Unlike some of the cousin vehicles from Kia, Genesis is offering the G70 with the same powertrains as before, You’ll have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 252 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque as the base engine while the 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 is the top engine and it brings you 368 horsepower and 376 lb.-t. of torque. You might notice this is a small power bump over the previous versions.

No More Manual for the Genesis G70

Models of the G70 that had a manual transmission were only a tiny fraction of the overall sales for this car, which means this item has been deleted. That shouldn’t come as a big surprise at all. The Sport trim looks to be exclusive to the V6 engine and this trim will be fitted with the performance items desired when you take this car for a drive.

With new looks that balance a few new items with the familiar features we know and love, the 2022 version of the Genesis G70 is sure to be an amazing car for us to enjoy. Get ready to see this car as it’s offered for sale before the start of summer at your local Genesis dealership.
