2023 Chevrolet Blazer To Be Unveiled in February

Your local Chevy dealer is used to shoppers looking for the latest and greatest SUVs on the market, but it is going to have to step it up to be ready for the newest 2023 Chevrolet Blazer to come on the scene.

During GM’s CES 2022 conference, Mary Barra, CEO, announced that a new Blazer EV will be here before you know it. Since compact SUVs are in such high demand, GM is competing for gold. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of information available just yet. Shoppers should be ready to see Chevy’s new electric SUVs in 2023. Until then, enthusiasts should keep an eye on their favorite Chevy dealer for information on how to reserve and obtain this new ride.

2023 Chevrolet Blazer Rumors

While Chevy hasn’t revealed much about the Blazer EV’s forthcoming, it’s safe to assume that it will share some traits with the gas-powered version. Luckily, there have been some sightings and rumors going around regarding the 2023 model year Blazer.

Here’s what we know so far:

Under The Hood

There are no upgrade expectations for the Blazer’s engine options. Currently, this SUV can be powered by either a 3.6-liter V6 engine or an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. The former creates 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, and the latter produces 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

It’s hard to say what kind of options will come with the new Blazer. The Chevy Bolt EV is equipped with a 65-kWh battery pack that helps the electric motor produce 200 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. It’s safe to say that the Blazer EV will be just as powerful, if not more potent than what comes with the Bolt EV.

New Looks

The 2023 Chevy Blazer looks to have a couple of revisions to its front fascia. This update is in line with what we’re seeing on the Chevy Bolt EV and Silverado EV. This seems to be the direction Chevy is moving with all of its vehicles.

A few prototype sightings have revealed that the new Blazer EV has upgraded taillights and a new exhaust treatment. It’s not known if these adaptions will be on all models or if they will be trim-specific.

As of right now, your local Chevy dealer will only have three trims for the new Blazer: LT, RS, and Premium. The L and 1LT have been discontinued after the 2021 model year. There is a rumor that a new Activ trim will be available. If so, we expect this to be a light off-road version of the Blazer. Whether or not the EV version will have an Activ trim is unknown.

What Will It Cost?

All signs point to the new Blazer starting just under $30,000 for the entry-level model. The EV version will tack on a few thousand, but nothing specific has been accounted for at this time.

Tune In on Feb 8th

The 2023 Chevy Blazer is supposed to debut on February 8th, but production won’t commence until July of this year. Of course, the official launch and production may be pushed back or moved around due to various elements in the market.

Regardless of the specifics, it’s clear that the 2023 Chevy Blazer is going to be a pretty amazing ride. Whether you go with the gas-powered option of the new EV, this is one SUV you won’t want to miss. Keep your eye on your local Chevy dealer to learn more.
