Luxury often comes at a high price, but if you are willing to buy used, you can save money and still get into that luxury vehicle you’ve always wanted. Discontinued models are a good place to start your used car search when you want to find upscale features for less.
Cadillac ATS Coupe
Cadillac produced the ATS and the ATS-V Coupe until 2019, and it’s a sleek and elegant sedan with the latest technology and lots of power. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 272 horsepower, but Cadillac also offered a 335 horsepower V-6. Shop for a used Cadillac ATS, and you can get features such as an 8-inch touch screen, Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Even a late model used Cadillac ATS Coupe will come standard with a Bose stereo system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Find the Luxury trim, and it will have heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, along with front and rear parking sensors, and it all comes at a reasonable price.
Cadillac CTS-V Sedan
The Cadillac CTS-V arrived in 2004, changing how drivers thought about Cadillac. With the CTS-V, the Caddy was no longer the sedan we rode in with our grandparents. It became a sought-after sedan for younger drivers with its 5.7-liter six-cylinder engine and 400 horsepower. The 2018 model received significant tech upgrades, but then Cadillac discontinued the CTS-V in 2019.
You can now find used 2018 and 2019 Cadillac CTS-Vs at reasonable prices, and they’ll come with a Wi-Fi hotspot, up to three USB ports, and standard driver avoidance technology.
Acura RLX
The luxury Acura RLX sedan arrived in 2014. It received a significant refresh for the 2018 model year, but by the time 2020 rolled around, Acura decided to discontinue it. This is good news for car shoppers because they can now find some good deals on used RLX models. The 2018 has all the creature comforts you’ll need, including satellite radio, Bluetooth, proximity keyless entry, and two display screens.
For the 2017 model year, Acura made their AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety features standard on all RLX models. It comes with a lane-departure warning, a pre-collision warning system with automatic braking, a blind-spot monitor, and adaptive cruise control.
Lexus GS
Lexus said goodbye to their mid-size luxury GS sedan after the 2020 model year and even sent it off with a special-edition model. The GS has been around since 1993, and it went through four generations. Find a used 2020 model, and it will come standard with a 12-speaker stereo system, voice-activated navigation, a 12.3-inch display, and the Lexus Remote Touch Interface. It will also have driver avoidance tech, such as a blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning with automatic braking.
