The Porsche Response to Higher Performance Needs

While the Porsche 911 has been the stalwart of the brand for many years the fact is there are many sports cars that are much more powerful and dynamically designed by many of the other names in the world of supercars. Porsche has always held a special place in our hearts, but our minds tell us the power we want to enjoy is really in the Ferrari name or the Lamborghini models. Does this mean Porsche is yesterday’s news and it’s time for us to embrace the fact it no longer has a place in the automotive world? (more…)

Can’t Afford a Cadillac; Just Wait

There always seems to be something new on the horizon that is meant to intrigue us in some way. When we see the exceptional quality and style of Cadillac vehicles many of us would love to be able to drive one new, but can’t afford it as part of our monthly budget. The reality is the Cadillac name is synonymous with a higher end of luxury than most and with a lineup of luxury cars that are typically larger than the entry level models from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz most of us have to wait for a used Cadillac or purchase a different brand. For 2017 the Audi S3 Sedan Features More Power and a Prettier Face

When something has more than just good looks to offer you, you tend to feel it has much more value to you than it would if all you saw was looks with no substance. This is the case with relationships, with products, in business, with our homes and even with our vehicles. Just because something looks great doesn’t mean it performs great, but the newly designed Audi S3 Sedan for 2017 is certainly a car that offers you much more than just a pretty face. If you want a luxury sports sedan that gives you more power and better looks, this is the car for you. (more…)

The Ford You Must Order

Ford has been around for a century or more and has mostly been a volume sales leader for the United States with global expansion to be a contender throughout the world. Normally you don’t have to order your Ford vehicle unless there is a specific color or build you want, but there is a Ford that you will have to order and the company has already started to take a list of names. This may put Ford in the category of the exotics, but as a company that has their toes in every puddle of the industry you have to admire what they have created. (more…)

When You Want More

Consumers are consumed with getting the right item for the money they intend to spend. That is the nature of consumerism and most manufacturers are happy to oblige. We see new products on the market every year and we are taught starting as kids to look for the new or better item because quality counts on everything from toys to homes. One thing in between those two is the car you choose to drive and what features it may have. If you consider yourself a purveyor of quality, you should consider the Model S from Tesla, but there are some new factors you need to consider. (more…)

The Power of the Viper in a Truck?

In the automotive world it seems there is nothing that is every off limits. We have witnessed all sorts of crazy contraptions whether it be from a tuner who has chosen to drop a massive V8 into a vehicle the size of a Smart Car or it’s a truck that was turned into a racing machine. Not often do we witness some of these crazy events from an actual manufacturer as most try and tow the center line to attract as many customers as they possibly can, but there has been one vehicle that was a blend and offered by a company that seemed to find a place in history to be a powerful and interesting vehicle. You Won’t Believe the Sales

With 2015 behind us and a quarter of 2016 gone we now get a chance to look back at the sales that were 2015. This past year was the strongest year ever in the automotive industry. More cars were sold than in any one year previously and you might think that every car had a banner year, but you would be wrong. For an unfortunate few models sales did not reach anywhere near the goals set by the manufacturer, even though these models were good cars and offered features that should have attracted more customers. Worst Automakers of 2016

While we put a concerted effort to creating lists of great accomplishments in the automotive world there are some instances when looking at those who prowl the bottom of the industry are worth the time and effort. Using information from Consumer Reports, automakers are judged based upon the lineup by ranking road test scores, predicted reliability, safety and owner satisfaction scores. Adjusting the Goals

The name of Maserati comes with a great deal of clout and vehicles that are some of the most visually appealing to ever be made. The trident badge stands for quality, attention to detail, specific styling and a feeling of something seriously special. Even though Maserati has made some bold claims that the company would reach sales of 75,000 units by 2018, recent announcements seem to have that possibility in jeopardy and the goals may need to be adjusted. 2016 BMW i3: The Sporty EV Hatchback

While many of us enjoy the drive of the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt the BMW i3 is where you want to be if you want to drive a car that offers some luxury features to the mix of EV equipment. The i3 has carbon fiber reinforcements and open space interior concept and can be had with a gasoline backup engine that helps make it a car that isn’t limited to where charging stations are placed like the Nissan Leaf. This is a great little EV hatchback that you can enjoy even while seeing the Bolt and Model 3 on the horizon from Chevrolet and Tesla. (more…)
