The New Tundra has Landed and Here’s What It’s Like

The New Tundra has Landed and Here's What It's Like

The Toyota Tundra has just as much of a rabid following as the other truck brands in the market and now it’s giving those fans something new.

The 2022 model year brings us a new Tundra that has taken on a new look, giving us an excellent new truck to drive and enjoy on the road. This new version is modern, ready to give you the quality drive you’re after and bring you the power needed when you’re ready to get things done. You won’t find any parts that are shared with the outgoing model, which makes for an amazing new truck.

Muscular and More Dynamic in its Styling Approach

The exterior area of the new Tundra is more dynamic and expressive than before, giving us a style that looks quite a bit different from the previous version. Even so, you’ll certainly recognize the Tundra as the half-ton truck that it is. You’ll see a large hexagonal grille for most of the trims, while the TRD models wear a retro TOYOTA across the front to give it a similar look to some of the other specialty models from other brands. You’re going to love the chiseled and muscular shape of this truck when you take it out for a drive.

Make the Drive Right Every Day

The new version of the Toyota Tundra brings you a new chassis and suspension that is more rigid than before. You’ll admire the fully boxed frame that is a change from leaf springs used in other truck models to give us a multi-link suspension with outboard-mounted coil springs. This change improves the ride of this truck to be much smoother, especially when you have an empty bed, which can be the worst time to drive a truck. You’ll be pleased with the way this truck feels when it’s time to take it to the job site.

A Much Better Cabin for You

Just because you need to use this Toyota truck to get work done doesn’t mean you don’t deserve a higher level of comfort when you’re behind the wheel. This is what you’ll find in the new model of the Tundra, which is the right truck for you to have a great ride. Enjoy this material and check out the standard eight-inch screen or the upgraded 14-inch model that can be ideal for you to have the connectivity you’re looking for when you take a drive. If you select the CrewMax model, you’ll have plenty of space for your entire work crew to ride along with you.

A Brand New Body Made of New Materials

We see all-new sheet metal for the Toyota Tundra, which has an aluminum hood and front door panels to give you a truck that has reduced weight. The front offers you a grille flanked with slim-mount LED headlamps and functional air intakes. The rear area shows you the TUNDRA letters across the tailgate to make sure those behind you won’t ever forget that they see this new truck in front of them.

You’ll Be Impressed with the New Toyota Bed

Check out the rear area of the Tundra and the bed offered. This area can either be a 6.5-foot bed, a new 8.1-foot bed, or a short 5.5-foot bed. This area is now made of aluminum-reinforced sheet molded compound, which is lighter than steel and stronger to give you the toughness needed to handle any payload you want to drop into this cargo space. The bed is unpainted and coated in a UV-resistant coating that doesn’t require you to use a bedliner to protect it. The material used for this bed never rusts, and it will give you the toughness and strength you’re looking for in a truck.

The TRD Sport Package can be added to the SR5, and the TRD Off-Road package can be added to the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 models.

Experience the Right Power for the Tundra

All versions of the Toyota Tundra get power from a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission.
