The Honda brand has been in the US for sixty years and they’ve found a great way to celebrate this momentous occasion.
The celebration began at the SEMA show where the Honda brand brought a few tricked-out SUVs and trucks to mark the occasion and give us some fun and active models to admire. Two of the models that look right and offer you the upgraded features are the Honda CR-V and the Honda Ridgeline. Both of these were brought in concept form with some of the gear that we would love to have included for off-road driving.
A Pair of Honda CR-V Models
The main event of the Honda booth at SEMA was a pair of 2020 Honda CR-V models with upgraded items for you to enjoy. Both receive new items by Jsport Performance Accessories with one model benefiting from the all-new two-motor hybrid layout. These two models are done in the “overlander” and “weekend warrior” themes.
The Overlander CR-V
The model done in the overlander theme is called “Dream” and it has a topographic map paint scheme, a 1.5-inch lift, side steps, a new front bumper, and a new rear tailgate. You’ll find a modular roof rack on this version along with 17-inch off-road wheels with all-terrain tires. The cargo area has an organized cabin and a slide-out fridge, while a Roofnest Falcon clamshell tent sits on top of the vehicle.
The Weekend Warrior CR-V
The Honda CR-V that wears the weekend warrior theme is called “Do” and it’s the hybrid model. This version has the same lift kit, wheels, and Nitto Ridge Grappler tires as the other model. There’s a Jsport roof basket with a Cannondale mountain bike to show what this basket can hold and how you can enjoy the drive.
The Ridgeline Upgrades
The Honda Ridgeline that was shown off at the SEMA show wears upgraded from the Honda Factory Performance Group and it’s called the Ridgeline HFP Concept. This model has a lifted stance, a widened stance, all-terrain tires, 18-inch concept bronze-finish HFP alloy wheels, a bed rack from Thule, custom Fuji mountain bikes, and a Siberian camo tent from Kukenam. These items allow you to imagine taking this truck out on the trails for some fun as you decide to spend the night in the tent that you can pop-up and feel comfortable when it’s time for some wilderness fun.
Another Honda at SEMA
The Honda Ohio R&D team spent time after-hours to build a Rally Passport that competes in stage rally competition in the American Rally Association Limited 4WD class. This vehicle placed second in the class and the Honda team decided to show off this impressive SUV at SEMA. It’s easy to see how Honda is showing off and giving you a look at how they want to celebrate being in the US for the past sixty years.
