More Capability in the Smaller Size

Jobs don’t seem to get any smaller for work crews and the ability to tow and haul whatever is needed has become a greater challenge. When gas prices were on the rise truck manufactures were looking for great ways to make their vehicles lighter and more efficient which unfortunately gave up some of the capabilities of the trucks. There is one answer to the problem of needing the power of a three-quarter ton pickup while enjoying the ride quality and comfort that is found in a half ton model; the new Nissan Titan XD. (more…)

Getting More from Less

This may be the theme of the automotive world as we see it now. Nearly every single automaker works to find a way to get more out of their vehicles. The days of being able to make cars with bigger engines and let the emissions be damned has long passed us by and now automakers turn to other forms of creating more from even less. The direction of the automotive world is heading toward more efficiency and power from engines that produce the lowest emissions ever, which has created a dynamic of lighter materials that are now used in the building of vehicles. Lookout Midsized Truck World

It’s a great thing that GM finally decided to reenter the midsized truck market. The entire segment was becoming extremely stale and the automakers didn’t seem to care too much. The trucks that were still part of the market when GM left for a short few years were still being made with very few updates once GM came back with two of the best midsized trucks we could ever see. This resurgence by the Canyon and Colorado has created a market where the other brands in the market are working toward new and improved models because theirs just don’t stack up anymore. (more…)

How Much Can You Spend on a Car?

Car Possibly the better question would be if money were no obstacle would you purchase a car that would cost you over $1 million? While it may seem seriously like a waste of money to spend this kind of money on car we see the ultra-rich purchase things such as large yachts and rare paintings that cost much more than this on a regular basis, so spending a seven figure number on a car might not be out of the question, at least Aston-Martin hopes it’s not a roadblock to their sales of one particular model. What is Porsche Up To?

When I say “Porsche” what comes to mind? Athletic, dynamic, sporty cars that have been the most impressive sports cars on the planet for many years; at least that is what I think of when someone says Porsche to me. While there are now two Porsche SUVs it’s still the sports cars that are put out every years that make Porsche one of the most impressive brands on the market. There have been Porsche models that are more affordable to allow more customers to enjoy them and then there have been some that were so exclusive you had to win the lottery to even think of buying them. 2016 BMW 2-Series: Entry Leve Excitement

Is the Versa the Least Expensive Car in North America?

The Nissan Versa is a car that starts out its life at just $11,990 and is sold in the US as the least expensive car on the market. This price is nearly a throwback to the 1990s as most of the time you don’t see cars under $20,000 on sale here very often. While the Versa is a car that we can celebrate as the least expensive car we have there is one that is even lower in price that is sold in Canada but not here in the US at all. (more…)

One Last Hurrah

When you have a car that has been the cornerstone of your production line for several years you don’t allow it to go out quietly but rather give it a fitting sendoff as it finishes its time in action and is able to take that last bow. For Aston Martin this is the case for the DB9 as it makes its last run around the sun for 2016 with the replacement DB11 on the horizon and on the market by the end of this calendar year. Let’s take a look at what the DB9 is and what it has meant to Aston Martin. (more…)

Another Step Toward Autonomous Driving

As we have discussed at length what autonomous driving will mean for the automotive market the ability to drive a vehicle without a driver has yet to be fully developed, but other technologies have come from the research.  We have Tesla with their semi-autonomous driving one road with well-marked lines and other luxury vehicles with similar features but BMW gives us a new and different type of autonomous feature for us to admire and eventually enjoy in other models.  This new technology is found in the BMW 7-Series and allows for the control of some features via gestures.
