The Four-Door Answer to the Sports Car Desire

If you don’t want to drive a Porsche model there’s either something wrong with you or you simply have an affinity for larger vehicles. The Porsche 911 has been regarded as the best sports car in the world for many years and offers us the excitement and perfect drive that’s a lot of fun. The problem with this car is the fact that it only fits two people inside, which can be trouble if you need at least four seats in order to handle your driving duties. Don’t worry, you can still take the kids to school in sporty style, just take a look at the Porsche Panamera as the right choice for your driving. (more…)

The 718 Cayman is a Thing of Beauty

Porsche has made it known that the 718 engine will be used in a variety of ways, but that doesn’t mean that the vehicles will suffer at all for using this smaller engine in fact the use of the 718 setup is meant to give the Porsche lineup even more fun and allow us to once again admire how well Porsche can do with making the absolute most benefit from the engineering that they use in their vehicles. With that in mind, the Cayman and Cayman S for 2017 will carry the 718 engine and are ready for us to enjoy them. (more…)

2017 Porsche Macan: The Sporty SUV You Want

We have seen many varieties of vehicles on the market and with the move toward smaller SUVs that are closer in size to the wagon and sedans we’re used to driving we now see SUVs that are being turned into sports cars, or at least a derivative of the sports car market. The Porsche Macan is built on a sports car platform, by a sports car brand to be an SUV that offers you the space you want in a taller vehicle but the capability of a Porsche sports car. This blend is exactly what we want in the market and with Porsche having the first one they are well ahead of Jaguar with the F-Pace and Maserati with the Levante. (more…)

The Porsche Response to Higher Performance Needs

While the Porsche 911 has been the stalwart of the brand for many years the fact is there are many sports cars that are much more powerful and dynamically designed by many of the other names in the world of supercars. Porsche has always held a special place in our hearts, but our minds tell us the power we want to enjoy is really in the Ferrari name or the Lamborghini models. Does this mean Porsche is yesterday’s news and it’s time for us to embrace the fact it no longer has a place in the automotive world? (more…)

What is Porsche Up To?

When I say “Porsche” what comes to mind? Athletic, dynamic, sporty cars that have been the most impressive sports cars on the planet for many years; at least that is what I think of when someone says Porsche to me. While there are now two Porsche SUVs it’s still the sports cars that are put out every years that make Porsche one of the most impressive brands on the market. There have been Porsche models that are more affordable to allow more customers to enjoy them and then there have been some that were so exclusive you had to win the lottery to even think of buying them. When Performance Matters

Most of the time we spend behind the wheel of a car what actually matters to us is the features we can make use of on our dull and boring drive to and from work each day.  When faced with this type of driving we don’t typically need performance from our car, just the ability to enjoy the drive in some fashion.  At other times, such as when you schedule some track time or want to take a drive in the country, performance really does matter and you want to have a great performance car to give you the fun and engaged driving experience to make your ride one that you can really take pleasure in.  When you want a great performance car for these drives, consider these and find the car that will excite you: (more…)

Will it be or Won’t it be?

Whether that’s a mock of Shakespeare’s famous quote or simply a happy accident is hard for me to determine but the subject today is whether or not a car will become a classic in several years.  Typically a classic car has to be at least 25 years old, but for the interest of a real classic it also has be to be one that is desirable and brings a bit of charm form the era it was made in.  With cars these days made almost to be disposable after a few years it’s interesting to discuss whether or not some are meant to become classics.  Someday our future generations will be able to say “they sure don’t make them like they did in 2015 anymore”; let’s look at some vehicle they might be talking about. Another Tesla Fighter, the Porsche Mission E Concept

Tesla has revolutionized the industry of the all-electric powertrains with their models that do not have even a hint of a gasoline powered backup engine.  The statement given when asked about this alluded to the fact that Tesla is doing their thing well while others with EV offer only a small range and don’t seem to know what they are doing.  Even though that is not word for word what was said, it covers the gist of the bold arrogance that came out of Tesla motors which felt like a shot at other companies.
