The market of mid-sized luxury sedans is already chock full of great offerings from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, and now the Infiniti Q50 aims to reach higher than all of them and take over. This model offers a comfortable interior, advanced electronics, and a look that is both appealing and somewhat elegant at the same time. The Q50 falls in line between the Q40 and the Q70, giving luxury sedan buyers something in between the two to fully appreciate. Most buyers will also appreciate the below luxury price of the Q50 which makes it just that much more enticing.

Any vehicle that aims to take on the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4 would have to be nothing short of amazing and Q50 is certainly that. The handling and power are signature features of Infiniti to be enjoyed by all owners but when you add the luxurious comfort the car puts is occupants the competition will certainly have many sleepless nights. The only change of any significance for the 2015 model is the new wheel and tire package that gives the car 19-inch lightweight RAYS wheels, otherwise Infiniti chose to not change what is already an exceptional car.

For those looking for a great car for the commute to and from work the Q50 makes a fine choice. Add to the luxury of the car and this is the car you want to take to church on Sundays as well. The suspension of the Q50 handles any road issues with laughable ease and the all electronic steering almost drives the car on its own. Add the quiet interior, which is a given feature of any Infiniti product, and the Q50 is more enticing to drive than just about every other car in its class.

The Q50 offers two engines to choose from to power this beautiful sedan. Both versions are attached to a seven-speed automatic transmission which features rev matching and a manual shift mode. Both models are available with AWD to add some great control to the car.

The first engine, which is found in the Q50 is the 3.7-liter V6 giving out 328 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque. This is the only non-hybrid engine on the Q50 and offers the best power in this class. The fuel mileage for this powertrain comes in at 20 city/29 hwy mpg for the RWD version, 20 city/30 hwy mpg for the base model, and 19 city/27 hwy mpg for the AWD model.

The second engine is the hybrid version of the Q50 which is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 plus and electric motor. This power plant offers up 360 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque for drivers to enjoy some added power. For those who can up the ante and buy the hybrid model, the fuel mileage offered is 29 city/36 hwy mpg for the RWD model, 28 city/34 hwy mpg for the RWD Sport model, 28 city/35 hwy mpg for the AWD version and 27 city/31 hwy mpg for the AWD sport model.

The interior of the Q50 offers soft and enjoyable materials across every surface for the comfort of the occupants. A feature to note is the use of dual touch screens in the center stack that allow inputs on one screen and readouts on the other, a very interesting way to handle this need. The leg room of the Q50 is plentiful and all areas feel luxurious. With more than enough tech aboard to satisfy any tech savvy shopper, the Q50 makes a great choice for those looking for a great luxury sedan.

The outside of the Q50 is gorgeous with smooth lines across every angle and a sleek low design that almost makes the vehicle feels like a sports car. The Q50 offers a front fascia that cannot be forgotten with a large grille and the highly recognizable badge situated on the front. The grill is flanked by narrow-eyed headlights that sweep sharply to the back to get the eye moving across the vehicle. The wheels are five star double patterned and look great parked in a driveway, but even better when heading down the road.

The standard equipment offered on the Q50 includes leatherette upholstery, power adjustable front seats, the dual touch screen display, passive entry, push button starting, a six-speaker audio system with HD Radio and a CD player, two USB ports, one auxiliary port, dual zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and the center console mounted Infiniti controller. In the hybrid models the vehicle adds Direct Adaptive Steering, leather upholstery, a moonroof, a 14-speaker Bose audio system and several other high end features. Even at the base model of either of these versions of the Q50, this is an amazing car for anyone to own and drive.

The optional features offered for the Q50 begin with the leather seats, a moonroof, the Technology Package which adds adaptive front lighting, Intelligent Cruise Control, Around View 360-degree monitor, blind spot warning, lane departure warning and prevention, an Advanced Climate Control with a Plasmac luster air purifier, and an Eco pedal to help the driver save fuel. Other optional features include a navigation system, Direct Adaptive Steering, a power tilt and telescoping steering column and maple wood accents. Once all these features are aboard the Q50, there is no denying its place among the best in the class for this type of vehicle.

Staring out the pricing, which is one of the great features of the Q50, the price begins just over $38,000. The Premium models begin closer to $41,000 and the S model will ask for a starting price of $44,500. The AWD can be added for an additional cost of $1,800 and the more powerful hybrid will begin its pricing around $45,000 with the hybrid with AWD coming in closer to $50,000. The Q50 offers enough differences to fit just about every personality, and give a generous helping of luxury at each price point on the list.
