Kia, Finally Catching Up

02.06.17 - Kia K900

The Kia brand is not what comes to mind when you think of luxury driving, but the brand does have two cars that are considered luxury models. These two haven’t every been sales leaders mostly because those of us who purchase luxury vehicles tend to buy the same brand over and over again. Now that the Kia model lineup is receiving upgrades and has become more attractive and dynamic across the board, it might be time for you to give this brand another try at the luxury you want. Check out the K900 and I can promise you won’t be disappointed at all.

The Kia K900 is a luxury sedan that is long, luscious and absolutely a dream to drive. The price for this vehicle may give you thoughts that it’s not as good as advertised, but once you drive the K900 what you’ll learn is this car is a steal at the price listed as it gives you the comfort and features that you normally associate with higher level luxury brands. Consider the transition some of the other Kia models have made to become as classy as this great sedan and you’ll wonder why you haven’t checked out the K900 before now.

Even if you stay at the base model of the K900 you’ll be greeted with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 311 horsepower. The interior is bathed in soft and supple leather, the dashboard features a navigation system and the roof shows you a panoramic view of the sky above with a power retractable sunshade. For your safety the K900 offers you Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist all as part of the standard safety features on this exceptional and enjoyable car to drive.

You can choose from any of the three trim levels of this car; the V6 Premium, V6 Luxury and V8 Luxury. Both of the V6 models use the 311 horsepower, 293 lb.-ft. of torque engine that’s attached to the eight-speed automatic transmission. The V8 model produces an impressive 420 horsepower and 376 lb.-ft. of torque while using the same transmission. The two lower trims will give you 17 city/25 hwy mpg while the V8 brings you 15 city/23 hwy mpg to enjoy on the road. These numbers are pretty good considering the size of the vehicle and the power that’s offered from under the hood.

If you want to upgrade the K900 to give you some added driver assistance features, Kia has you covered in this gorgeous sedan. You can have Autonomous Emergency braking, Lane Departure Warning, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Dynamic bending Lights and a Surround View Monitor. All of these features are standard on the V8 model of the K900 but are options for the two lower trim levels. At the V8 level you’ll enjoy LED headlights while the two V6 versions make use of HID headlights for your visibility. This is certainly a vehicle that can give you the safety and vision you want to enjoy on the road.

The Kia K900 is a large luxury car that feels great, drives perfect, looks amazing and offers you more of what you want. The only thing missing from this luxury sedan is the luxury name, but that makes it a car that you can enjoy for a much lower price than you would if you purchased a model from a familiar luxury name. Isn’t it time you gave the K900 a chance? You’ve admired the rest of the Kia lineup as improving and adding more value, the flagship model certainly will impress you and allow you to save some money at the same time.
