A New Colorado Is Heading to Your Nearby Chevrolet Dealer

The date is set, and we’ll get the big reveal of the new generation of the Chevrolet Colorado. The next version of this truck is set to debut on July 28, giving us a new look at what comes next for this truck. Expect the model brought to the forefront to be the ZR2 version, which is already showing off in a teaser video, giving us a look at this truck and its new corporate cousin, the GMC Canyon AT4X. Will these midsize GM trucks continue to offer as many cool features as before?

What’s New For the GM Midsize Trucks?

The 2023 versions of the Colorado and Cany are being described as “all-new,” which most likely means they have new bodies and interiors. As far as we can tell, these two impressive trucks should continue to have much the same underpinnings as they have right now. The video gives us a glimpse at a new look for the taillights and front end while also giving us a look at the massive all-terrain tires and light bar of the ZR2 Colorado. We could see suspension upgrades and better shocks to give the ZR2 more ride height for the drive on various trails.

The AT4X is Brand New

The GMC Canyon has had the AT4 trim, but for the 2023 model year, it will follow its larger sibling, the Sierra 1500, and add an AT4X model. This new version should be the equivalent to the Colorado ZR2 found at your local Chevrolet dealer. If you’re familiar with the ZR2, you know it’s an off-road beast, which gives us some high hopes for what the new Canyon AT4X will offer when it’s time for some off-road experiences out on the trails.

What Does the Current Chevrolet Colorado Offer?

The 2022 version of the Chevy Colorado is a good model to review because it should be similar to what we see for the new model. The build is a little different for the new 2023 model, but it will give us many of the same qualities. Let’s take a look.

Smooth Riding in a Capable Truck

You won’t feel like you’re driving a truck when you’re behind the wheel of the Colorado. This impressive vehicle keeps things smooth on the road to give you the performance you want.
