What to Know About the Refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon

The GMC Yukon and Yukon XL are getting a new look for the 2025 model year. It will get refreshed front and rear ends, new wheels, and updates in the cabin to make it even more luxurious than ever. If you’ve been looking at the GMC Yukon, the 2025 might be the year you’ve been waiting for.

What’s Under the Hood?

The current Yukon has either a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 horsepower under the hood or a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower. There’s also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel available if you like diesel power. It generates 277 horsepower and gets 460 pound-feet of torque.
GMC has not confirmed if the 2025 GMC Yukon will have the same engine lineup of if they will make any tweaks. This is just one of the things we’ll have to wait to see.

An Exterior Facelift

Some of the biggest changes to the 2025 GMC Yukon you’ll notice as soon as you see the outside. The headlights are restyled and smaller. A large lower section has the main lights and then hooked LED lights above these look a little like eyebrows. The taillights have the same shape, but now have an added rectangular trim piece.
The Yukon AT4 is an exciting addition to the lineup. It has a dark hexagon grille and two red tow hooks in the front. You can also see a skid plate below the chrome lower trim. If you get a closer look at this Yukon, you’ll see that it’s riding on Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires.

The Inside Has Updates, too

GMC is revising the inside of the 2025 Yukon, but the details are still coming. It will still have seating for up to eight passengers, unless you have the second-row captain’s chairs, which bring this down to seven.
The infotainment screen looks like it will be similar to the layout in the 2024 Acadia with physical buttons and a touchscreen. If you like the digital instrument panel in the 2024 Yukon, you’ll be happy to find that this is not expected to change.

A Full Suite of Advanced Safety Features

Just like the 2024 Yukon, the 2025 model will have a full suite of advanced safety features. You can feel confident behind the wheel of this huge SUV knowing that it has forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane-departure mitigation, and those all-important parking sensors to help make sure you don’t hit any stationary objects while you’re trying to get into a parking spot.
Additional safety features such as a 360-degree surround-view camera system adaptive cruise control will also be available.

The Denali and Denali Reserve

The Denali and Denali Reserve models are sure to be a part of the 2025 GMC Yukon lineup. These offer more luxury with upgraded leather upholstery, power-retractable side steps, and power-release second-row bucket seats. The Reserve Package adds even more, including a panoramic sunroof, and trailering technology.
