The Ford You Must Order

Ford has been around for a century or more and has mostly been a volume sales leader for the United States with global expansion to be a contender throughout the world. Normally you don’t have to order your Ford vehicle unless there is a specific color or build you want, but there is a Ford that you will have to order and the company has already started to take a list of names. This may put Ford in the category of the exotics, but as a company that has their toes in every puddle of the industry you have to admire what they have created. (more…)

2016 BMW i3: The Sporty EV Hatchback

While many of us enjoy the drive of the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt the BMW i3 is where you want to be if you want to drive a car that offers some luxury features to the mix of EV equipment. The i3 has carbon fiber reinforcements and open space interior concept and can be had with a gasoline backup engine that helps make it a car that isn’t limited to where charging stations are placed like the Nissan Leaf. This is a great little EV hatchback that you can enjoy even while seeing the Bolt and Model 3 on the horizon from Chevrolet and Tesla. (more…)

Don’t be Pushed into a Deal

While we do work with a variety of automotive dealers that employ several salespeople there is no place for pushiness in sales. Your sales representative that is working with you should help you find the right vehicle at the price you can afford. There are so many vehicle on the market that there is certain to be a right vehicle for you. It might not be the first one you look at or the twentieth, but there is a right one. What there isn’t is room for the pushiness of a salesperson who appears to only be interested in making a sale to you with little to no regard for your needs and desires. Here are some responses you can have to help keep from being pushed into a deal that isn’t right for you. (more…)

What’s the Holdup?

We were supposed to already see the new subcompact crossover SUV on the market for Toyota. This SUV would carry the name of the C-HR that was shown in concept form and offer the same polarizing good looks and futuristic body structure, but somehow this new small SUV has been delayed. Did this SUV end up needing a revision in style due to costs? Are we going to get an SUV that looks completely different and be let down by the fact we were expecting to see something similar to what was shown at the various shows this vehicle came to? (more…)

Is the Versa the Least Expensive Car in North America?

The Nissan Versa is a car that starts out its life at just $11,990 and is sold in the US as the least expensive car on the market. This price is nearly a throwback to the 1990s as most of the time you don’t see cars under $20,000 on sale here very often. While the Versa is a car that we can celebrate as the least expensive car we have there is one that is even lower in price that is sold in Canada but not here in the US at all. (more…)

Another Step Toward Autonomous Driving

As we have discussed at length what autonomous driving will mean for the automotive market the ability to drive a vehicle without a driver has yet to be fully developed, but other technologies have come from the research.  We have Tesla with their semi-autonomous driving one road with well-marked lines and other luxury vehicles with similar features but BMW gives us a new and different type of autonomous feature for us to admire and eventually enjoy in other models.  This new technology is found in the BMW 7-Series and allows for the control of some features via gestures. The F-150 Black Ops; The Baddest Truck on the Road or Off

We all have already admired the newest F-150.  Taking a lighter design build and making a rugged and tough truck was no easy task, but what they churned out has been something amazing for us to admire and enjoy.  This new F-150 has taken a beating and has kept on coming, surpassed the off road and work truck expectations and even shown that it can be transformed and featured in a variety of ways not unlike the Mustang which is one of the most often altered cars each year; surpassed the off road and work truck expectations and even shown that it can be transformed and featured in a variety of ways not unlike the Mustang which is one of the most often altered cars each year. A Look at the Chevrolet Colorado in Diesel Form

One of the missing pieces, when the Colorado and Canyon came back to the GM lineup, was a diesel powered version.  Both trucks immediately made a huge impact on the marketplace and gave us vehicles that are stellar at being midsized workhorses capable of heading out to the off road territories when called upon to do so, but the diesel was not offered right away.  For the 2016 model year, there will be a diesel powertrain for both of these amazing trucks to let you have much more power and a better low end feel that gets the work done. Now that We See it What Will it Really Be

Before the Frankfurt Auto Show Nissan had to answer questions regarding their new Gripz concept that looks a lot like a crossover SUV that is made to replace the Z model sports car that we have loved from Nissan for so many years.  If this SUV were to actually replace the Z cars there would certainly be a worldwide uproar and protest, at least until the production of the Gripz is official and we get to drive the SUV that is now carrying the Z-badge. Sometimes You have a Piece of History

In today’s world we have the ability to look up and verify nearly everything in history as long as it has been subjected to being entered into the Internet somehow, which is one massive data bank.  How many remember encyclopedias?  That was the Internet for my generation, but I digress.  This verification of historical data applies to nearly everything from genealogy to automobiles as long as you know what to look for and can find the documentation to back it up.  This was certainly the case with an original from the past that had a bit of an unexpected history.
