The Small Differences of the BMW M2

There has been a lot of chatter around regarding the M2 from BMW. This car is one that came on the scene as an expected top performer in the market of great driving vehicles, but some feel it’s not quite up to par with what was expected. While we can relive the glory days of the best driving machines on the market, making them more efficient and agile is a task that creates a completely different feeling in these cars than ever before. To put it simply, we can’t build cars today like we used to, but we can still build some great cars. (more…)

The Battle at the Top

When it comes to the flagship vehicles of different manufacturers the expectation is that you have a vehicle which gives you every feature and benefit the manufacturer can think of and add. This is certainly what you get when you look at the Lexus LS and the BMW 7-Series, but which one of these two flagship sedans is the one you want to drive the most? Are you more enticed by the Japanese style and modern features of the Lexus or are you more apt to lean toward the longstanding performance and perfection of the German engineering contained in the BMW model? Let’s look at them both. (more…)

The Top Selling Corvette Trim

We are now in the seventh generation of the Corvette, signified by the C7 that we add to nearly every conversation, and the trim level that’s sold the most in the past isn’t one you might be familiar with right away. The Corvette has been the car most Americans have dreamed of buying and owning all their lives. In other countries the dream is to buy an exotic supercar, but there are so many to choose from its difficult to decide. In the United States, all that dreaming has gone into one car, the Corvette and the sales have shown for this longstanding sports car. (more…)

Mazda is Making Fun Smoother

Driving a Mazda vehicle comes with a prescription for fun. This is one company that has chosen to make sure the driving experience is one of pure engagement and enjoyment from behind the wheel. The challenge for Mazda isn’t in creating a more engaged experience of driving, but in finding a way to make the transitions we make smoother and they are using some interesting technology to do just that. While other car companies seek to create the right blend of autonomous technology to eventually take the wheel out of our hands, Mazda is making it a better experience with the wheel firmly in our grasp. The Next Step for the Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette has been more than just a symbol to us for many years. This car represents the pinnacle of what American engineering can accomplish and has been our own version of a supercar for many decades. At first the Corvette was made to take on some of the European speedsters and show off with great handling and a track prowess that was unmatched. Over time other automakers have passed by the Corvette in both price and engineering but this symbol of Americana isn’t taking anything lying down. (more…)
Scion, Toyota

The Toyota Sports Car You Will Love

The Scion brand was only around for a short thirteen years. This sub brand from Toyota was meant to strike a chord with younger shoppers to ensure they could purchase a great vehicle at a reasonable price. The overall thought was to offer a brand of vehicles that had only a few options to help keep the pricing consistent and affordable. The transition for a car shopper of Scion was for them to purchase the Scion at an early age, move to a Toyota model in the second phase of car ownership and eventually head to the luxury arm of Toyota by purchasing a Lexus model later in their lives. Improving the Market for the Future

When we look to the US Patent and Trademark Office to learn what new vehicle names have been filed it gives us a look into what the future of the automotive market will be. As we have recently seen the market demands we have more SUVs on the market and the luxury brands are entering in a huge way. The most recent filing for a patent is the name of “Kamal” which has been filed by FCA on behalf of Alfa Romeo, which is a name that has yet to be used by any company. (more…)

The Genesis Brand is Off to a Great Start

It’s that time and it’s an exciting time. We finally get what Hyundai has promised us for the past several months, a new luxury brand that will now be known as the Genesis brand and replace the Genesis car entirely. The reason we now have this brand is because the Genesis was popular and one of the most impressive cars for several years, which now will be the perfect name for the brand that will be the first Korean luxury arm we have seen on our market. So, what did Genesis bring us to enjoy? (more…)

The Super Corvette is Poised for a Return

Corvette has been a name that has stood for the top end affordable supercar from an American automaker for many decades. There have been others that have come and gone and even some that stick around with exorbitant prices and low sales volume, but the Corvette is the every person supercar that comes in a wide variety of builds to give us the performance we want and a car that in many cases is track ready. When it comes to driving excitement on a scale that is not going to break the bank the Corvette has always been the name we know and trust and feel as good about as we do the American flag. (more…)

What Happens When You Take a Popular Model Global?

For 2015 there was one sports coupe that outsold the rest. This may not sound significant to anyone because there is always going to be a sales leader, but this particular sports coupe had only been on the global market for a year when it made this amazing feat. Now maybe you are a bit more intrigued; the car that accomplished the task of being the global sales leader in this category was none other than the Ford Mustang and when you think about all the other sports coupes on the market, this is an amazing accomplishment.
