In the automotive world it seems there is nothing that is every off limits. We have witnessed all sorts of crazy contraptions whether it be from a tuner who has chosen to drop a massive V8 into a vehicle the size of a Smart Car or it’s a truck that was turned into a racing machine. While we put a concerted effort to creating lists of great accomplishments in the automotive world there are some instances when looking at those who prowl the bottom of the industry are worth the time and effort. Using information from Consumer Reports, automakers are judged based upon the lineup by ranking road test scores, predicted reliability, safety and owner satisfaction scores. With this information an educated ranking of the worst automakers can be accomplished, showing you what automakers have work to do to make it out of the basement and become one of the leaders in the industry, which some of these names have been in the past. The trident badge stands for quality, attention to detail, specific styling and a feeling of something seriously special. Even though Maserati has made some bold claims that the company would reach sales of 75,000 units by 2018, recent announcements seem to have that possibility in jeopardy and the goals may need to be adjusted. 2016 BMW X1: Small but Mighty

In the automotive industry we have seen vehicles continually get smaller, especially the SUVs that make up a large portion of the market now. The BMW X1 is the smallest SUV offered by BMW and is a lot less utility than it is a larger car to drive. In fact this vehicle is small enough that BMW has classified it as an SAV or Sport Activity Vehicle, taking away the thought of any utility at all from this little machine. We were supposed to already see the new subcompact crossover SUV on the market for Toyota. This SUV would carry the name of the C-HR that was shown in concept form and offer the same polarizing good looks and futuristic body structure, but somehow this new small SUV has been delayed. Did this SUV end up needing a revision in style due to costs?
