When you think of flagship SUVs, you probably don’t think of the Mitsubishi Outlander, but that’s exactly what you find with this vehicle. This model sets the design template for the entire brand, which is why the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander model is an important vehicle to see. This all-new model is the first one that will bring the new design to the market with the look you want to see and the details that are going to make driving right for you.
The Teaser Showed Us Only One Detail
Mitsubishi released a teaser video that gave us a look at what this model has to offer. This teaser had the Outlander in the shadows with a silhouette that you could only make out a little bit. Even so, one item that was distinctively noticeable was the headlights that brought you five arrow-like LED elements to give you the visibility needed during a drive.
A Good Point of Reference for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander
The teaser video also gave us only a vague view of the shape of the grille of this new version of the SUV we love to drive. Thankfully, there’s a reference point that we can look to and figure out what we can expect in this SUV. The 2019 Engelberg Tourer concept is a hybrid model that showcased some of the style elements we expect to see in the Outlander.
These new elements we’re looking for include a chunkier more substantial style, narrow taillights, and a floating roof design. The roof design has become an item that we seem to see among many SUV models in the market today.
Affordability Meets the Upgrades You Want
For many years, the Mitsubishi Outlander has been one of the most affordable crossovers with three rows of seats. The expectation is that the new 2022 model should be larger in all areas to make seating across three rows much better for you when you take a drive. Right now, a new PHEV isn’t expected to be offered, but the current version will have a larger gas engine and battery to give you more power for the drive.
The Mystery of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Continues
Until we see the new 2022 version in person, we won’t know just how big it is or see the interior layout and dimensions. The video that gave the look we wanted was only a teaser and it did just that with a hint at the shape and size we can expect for this new model.
What we do know is that we expect the Outlander to continue to be an advanced SUV that brings the features and qualities you want when it’s time for a drive. With more room in the cabin, hopefully, and a new look upfront, this SUV could be the one you want to take out on the roads and drive in the near future.
