Does Ford Need Suggestions for the New Bronco?

03.11.16 - 2020 Ford Bronco Fan Concept

We have heard the announcement that a new Bronco to start the sixth-generation of the awesome SUV will begin by the year 2020, but Ford has yet to give us any idea of what this new vehicle will look like. With this ever so slight hesitation in Ford the folks at Bronco6G.com have come up with several different looks they think will make a huge difference and be the Bronco we all want to see on the road. From what I can see they certainly aren’t far off at all, let’s take a look at their idea of what this new version of one of our old favorites will be.

Before we take a gander at what has come to light from Bronco6G.com let’s take a moment to discuss the history of this SUV. The Bronco has most famously been the two-door high riding rugged SUV that offers a sporty but blunt off road experience. There have been favorites along the way such as the upright bodies of the 1960s and the more practical versions form the 1990s which are two that come to mind. This is a truck based SUV that was around for a long time before we saw it removed from the Ford lineup.

The look presented by Bronco6G.com has a great deal of the various style elements from previous generations and some of the style we see in the Ford trucks of today. Their rendering offers a wide body style with the two door setup that made the Bronco famous. Some of the looks we enjoy today such as the squared off lines and older elements such as the round eye headlights all make their way to this look that just might be what Ford chooses to adopt as their new Bronco that will be on the market by 2020.

What else is the Bronco? It’s a no frills vehicle. This truck has but one purpose in life and that is to be an off road beast that can best the Jeep Wrangler. With that in mind the tall, boxy, tough and utility focuses design is what the team at Bronco6G.come showed for a possible new Bronco style. Their look and features appear to be exactly what we want in a Bronco as it’s nearly time to buy the new generation models and take them out to Moab for a test run against the Jeeps that have ruled the roost for several years.

Most likely the new Bronco will be built at the Michigan Truck Plant of Ford in Wayne, Michigan. This will make the Bronco be once again what it once was; an American off road SUV that has been designed and built by Americans in America. What could truly be more American than a new Ford Bronco built in Michigan? Not much else now all we need is Ford to let us see what they plan for the truck and for someone to pass the apple pie that has been cooling on the window sill.
